Not often actresses return to acting in films soon after their marriage. They take their own time in settling into matrimonial life. Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan was an exception as she continued to play lead roles in films even after getting married to Abishek Bachchan. Readers might recall that she played superstar Rajinikanth’s heroine in the successful Enthiran: The Robot.
Reema Sen, who debuted in Tamil films opposite Madhavan in Gautham Menon’s Minnalae almost a decade back, got married a couple of months back in Delhi. Few would have expected the actress to be back in Kollywood soon, especially in view of the fact that her career hadn’t been going great guns for the past few years. Her last on-screen appearance was a guest dance number with Vikram and Shriya in Rajapattai.
She has been signed up to play an ‘item number’ in actor Vijay’s maiden production venture, which is a remake of the hit film Sattam Oru Iruttarai directed by his father S.A. Chandirasekaran more than three decades back. Vijay, who floated his production house Ghilli Films recently, is producing his first film which is as yet untitled. The film stars Vikram Prabhu, son of actor Prabhu, in the lead role.
The song was picturized on the streets of Puducherry recently which was witnessed by a large number of people who had thronged the streets to have a look at the shoot. Though SAC is penning the story, screenplay and direction, the film is not directed by him but by an aide Sneha, who had worked for many years under him. The film has music by Vijay Antony.
