It’s an unwritten rule in Kollywood, the day an actress ties the wedding knot, she is considered unfit to play the onscreen diva anymore. There might be exceptions to the rule as is the curious case of Aishwarya Rai, who dazzled as Sana in Superstar Rajinikanth’s blockbuster hit Enthiran.
Now a wife, the hot and saucy Reema Sen is treading a similar path. Post her marriage to hotelier Shiv Karan Singh, she has no plans to kiss her film career a goodbye. News is Reema has landed a key role in, in the remake of Sattam Oru Iruttarai, marking the debut of Vijay’s home banner Ghilli Production’s. Actress Karthika plays the role of a journalist with Piaa Bajpai too joining the ensemble cast. The movie is a remake attempt of SAC’s (Vijay’s dad) 1981 release of the same name. SAC’s niece Sneha, will helm the project as director having studied visual communication at college level. Playing the lead hero for this film is Vikram Prabhu, son of actor Prabhu. The hero takes his baby steps in Kollywood through Prabhu Solomon’s potential releases Kumki.
Actress Reema confirmed her role saying, “As soon as I got the offer, I knew this was it. I have seen Hema Malini ji do the role and I am totally on for it.” Reema has taken up fitness classes and has incorporated power yoga into her exercise routine. “The newly wed actress will play the police officer role and has taken to a strict diet to cut on the extra flab,” reports an industry insider.
