Simbu’s Vada Chennai has only sprung up new problems for Director Vetrimaaran, right from the day of inception. The film, an effort by the National award winning Vetrimaaran, showcases the Northern side of Chennai starring Silambarasan, Andrea Jeremiah and Tollywood hero Rana Daggubati, marking his debut.
Actress Divya Spandana who was approached, recently, did give a positive response to Vetri but she still needs to make things official. On the other hand it’s Tollywood boy Rana Daggubati who is taking a step backward. The decision came in after the actor attended a technical workshop that was conducted for the crew as Vetri explained the script to his team members. Rana was the lone actor to attend the workshop amidst the technical crew present, even though another workshop was later planned exclusively for the actors. When he got an idea about his character in the movie the actor decided to move out. Director Vetrimaaran himself confirmed the news saying, “Rana has opted out of Vadachennai as he had some issues with his character sketch. We will be working together soon.” Earlier it was some of the fans giving the director trouble and now with Rana walking out, he will have to start making some quick arrangements.
Vada Chennai lead Simbu still recording his love anthem for world peace in US says, “Won’t be in town for my birthday 🙁 gonna miss my family , friends and my dear fans !!!”
