Ramakrishnan turns director in Azhagendra Sollukku Amala

Ramakrishnan of ‘Kungumapoovum Konjum Puravum’ fame was an assistant director who had worked under Cheran before trying his luck in acting and Ramakrishnan is now gearing to make his debut as a director too in his upcoming ‘Azhagendra Sollukku Amala’ .

My first directorial venture will be ‘Azhagendra Sollukku Amala’, a love story. I am playing the lead role besides handling the direction. My concentration has always been on direction,” he says.

Ramakrishnan, who has played the role of ‘A to Z’ in last week’s release ‘Goripalayam’, adds: “At the same time, I would also like to continue my career as an actor, since I got the attention of many only because of acting.”

The actor-director who was earlier working as a canteen assistant at a private hospital near Chennai, says, “the doctors there motivated me to think big. This made me to try my luck in cinema. I met actor Dhamu thankfully and he spearheaded the change.”
