After shooting for more than a fortnight in London and its surroundaing localities, the cast and crew of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Kochadaiyaan have landed up in Kerala, referred to as ‘God’s Own Country’ in tourism parlance. Despite rumours that all is not well on the home-front and that trouble brews between Dhanush and Aishwarya, Rajini has started to shoot in right earnest in Kerala along with the rest of the stars.
Sequences involving Aadhi and Deepika Padukone, who couldn’t take part in the London schedule of the shoot, were canned as part of the second schedule of the film’s shooting. The crew, which now shoots at Trivandrum, would be moving on to Kottayam, Alapuzha and Cochin as the movie progresses. The film is directed by first-timer Soundarya, younger dauther of Rajinikanth, under the supervision of K.S. Ravikumar, who has written the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film besides assisting Soundarya.

Popular Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan and Kollywood’s Raju Sundaram would be working with Rajini in the film for the song sequences. As reported earlier, Kochadaiyaan is the first Indian film to be shot using the ‘3-D motion capturing technology’ and as such warrantes less portions of actual shooting. It is said that most of the talky portions in the film have already been completed.
Twin-Oscar winner A.R. Rahman, who scores the film’s music, has been working at an unprecedented pace and is said to have already completed compsing five songs besides a ‘theme music’ track.
