Superstar Rajinikanth has voiced his support to social activist Anna Hazare’s crusade against corruption. The actor has been keeping his fans on tenterhooks by not arranging a meeting with them even after more than five months of his return from Singapore after successfully treating his kidney disorder. His fans seem to possess monumental patience and don’t seem to be complaining at all.
Amid reports that he has already started ‘shooting’ for his upcoming film Kochadaiyan directed by his daughter Soundarya at her ‘Office’ in Chennai’s Raja Annamalaipuram, Rajini has sent an e-mail message to Anna Hazare, the khadi-clad non-violent warrior who has managed to instill in the minds of youths and the general public the possibility of making the country a corruption-free nation.
Hazare kicked off from Mumbai another spell of his fast-unto-death in order to press the Congress-led Union Government to pass the Lokpal Bill in Parliament. In his e-mail sent in support of Hazare’s anti-corruption crusade, Rajini has said that “Corruption is like a killer disease and it’s of utmost importance to root out the menace from all walks of society. I’m happy that we have the likes of Anna Hazare amidst us to fight corruption tooth and nail.
“Our country is the birth-place of Satyagraha, the non-violent struggle. Nowhere in the world would such a protest be possible. I appreciated all my fellow countrymen who have assured Anna of their continued support to root out corruption at all levels,” thus Rajini concluded his mail.
