Veteran director S.P. Muthuraman has announced that superstar Rajinikanth would soon undertake a tour of all the districts in the State to meet personally all his fans and well-wishers who prayed hard for his speedy recovery from the illness that had put him out of action for more than two months.
A function was held at Rajinikanth Thirumana Mandapam at Chamundipuram, Tirupur to give away welfare schemes to the poor and the needy on the eve of the ‘safe’ return of the superstar. Rajni had been to Singapore to get top-class treatment for his kidney-related disorders and returned to Chennai 10 days ago to a thunderous reception from his fans at the airport.
S.P. Muthuraman (also called SPM) took part in the event as a special guest and gave away the benefits of the scheme. The director, who has directed Rajinikanth in as many as 25 movies, said that “The social service indulged in by Rajini’s fans should continue unabated. Instead of simply praising Rajini, the fans should use every opportunity to serve the community around them.
“I’m glad to announce that very soon, Rajini would undertake a tour of all the District Capitals in the State and would meet and interact with the fans, well-wishers and members of the public who had all prayed for his speedy recovery. In my personal opinion, more than the medicines and the treatment, it’s the prayers that have saved Rajinikanth,” said SPM.
