Superstar Rajinikanth is back. The star, whose return to Chennai had been awaited with great interest and curiosity by his ever-eager fans, returned to Chennai on the night of Wednesday, the 13th July after spending close to six weeks in Singapore where he had gone to get proper treatment for his kidney-related ailments. Thousands of fans thronged the airport to accord a hero’s welcome to Rajini.
Rajini appeared exuberant and was apparently happy that his ardent fans were waiting for him late in the night to have a glimpse of him. The police had a tough time in guiding him to his waiting car. Rajini straightaway headed towards his farmhouse at Kelambakkam on the outskirts of the city. His Poes Garden residence is said to be under renovation according to the requirements of Vaasthu.
Soon after reaching his house, Rajini has got down to business. Rajini had just started shooting for ‘Rana’ when he fell ill on the evening of 29th April. Now that he is back on his feet after a turbulent two-and-a-half months, he is again training his energies on re-starting the shooting schedule of the film. The story of ‘Rana’, as reported earlier, is Rajini’s own. He is likely to rest for a month or so in order to regain his full physical health to undergo rigorous shooting schedules.
Rajini has also penned the screenplay of the film in association with K.S. Ravikumar, the director of the film. The superstar, who was spotted with thick grey beard and spectacles, is said to be determined to ensure that ‘Rana’ achieves more success than his last film ‘Enthiran: The Robot’. The audience and his fans alike are eagerly waiting to see him back in action.
During his leisure time, Rajini might fine-tune the sequencing of the film for which he is said to have opened a ‘temporary’ office at his farmhouse in order to hold discussions with Ravikumar and other technicians concerned with the film.
