In yet another case of delay, the theatrical release of Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film Rajini has been postponed indefinitely once again which means that the film won’t be hitting the screens this Thursday on Ganesh Chaturthi Day.
The makers of the film had announced earlier that the film would be released in theatres on 17th September. Advertisements in print media for the past few days also confirmed this. However, it is now said that unavoidable ‘economic issues’ have crept up in the past few days which might force the postponement of the film’s release from this week.
Maaple Singam, Trisha Illenna Nayantara and Tamilselvanum Thaniyar Anjalum have jumped in to the Ganesh Chaturthi race of late but the huge disappointment for fans of Sivakarthikeyan is that the much-delayed Rajini Murugan is once again getting postponed from its announced date of release in theatres.
Nayantara’s Maya and Goundamani’s 49-O are already on the list of films releasing this week. Interestingly enough, the makers of Rajini Murugan haven’t given any alternative date to release the film which might mean several things.
