Superstar Rajinikanth has assured that his upcoming film Kochadaiyaan would present on-screen for the viewers a ‘very active Rajini’ who would do everything possible to entertain his fans. The superstar spoke to reporters at Chennai Airport just prior to departing for London along with the film’s crew for a long shooting schedule of the film planned to be held in and around London.
Rajini also assured that the film would be a ‘Deepavali treat’ for all his fans. Speaking enthusiastically, Rajini said “The shoot of Kochadaiyaan is all set to commence on 19th April in Lodon. A 20-day non-stop shooting schedule has been planned to be held in many historical places in England. Some talkie portions and song sequences adding up to almost 40% of the film’s shoot is likely to be completed in London itself.
“The crew would then return to Chennai to shoot widely in locations at Tamil Nadu and in Kerala. I assure all my fans that they’d get to watch a Rajini who would be very active than he was in his earlier films. We are confident of releasing the film in the second half of this year, preferably on Deepavali day,” said Rajini.
K.S. Ravikumar, who supervises the direction of debutant director Soundarya, was also with Rajini. When asked what happened to Rana, Ravikumar said that it’d start once Rajini completes Kochadaiyaan. The 20-odd strong crew left for London by an early morning flight on Saturday.
Sarath Kumar, Jackie Shroff, Ramesh Kanna, Aadhi and Shobana are the other actors in the film which has Bollywood’s Deepika Padukone pairing up as Rajini’s heroine.
