Singer cum music director AR Reihana is planning to take a plunge into the Mollywood soon. Reihana happens to be composer AR Rahman’s sister and mom to the very talented GV Prakash. Her latest signup is a Mollywood project tilted ‘Manchotile Veedu’.
“I think I have very strong connections with Kerala. My father RK Sekhar was a very popular music director during his times. I’m doing this Malayalam film as director Sukumaran was a friend of my dad”, quips Reihana. ‘Manchotile Veedu’ is directed by Sukumaran who has the lady composer tuning a 5 track album for the film. Reihana who can also sing well has songs like ‘Balleilakka…’ from ‘Sivaji The Boss’ and ‘Malle Malle…’ from ‘Chocolate’ to her credit. Her famous brother AR Rahman has worked in one Malayalam movie named Yodha, beginning his career. She is expecting a warm welcome with the track “Padakaali” from the Yodha album a hot favorite among fans in the neighboring region. Son GV Prakash too has had a season of hits with his latest Mayakkam Enna and Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal albums ruling the charts, as his proud mommy brings out her new album in ‘Manchotile Veedu’.
