Kollywood seductress Priyamani has bagged a mega South Indian project in her kitty .Her new flick titled ‘Charulatha’ is produced by Global One Studios and will be made simultaneously in Telugu and Kannada. Taking up the hero’s role is Mollywood actor Skandha.
Pon Kumaran who has gained his expertise working under K Bhagyaraj and KS Ravikumar directs the upcoming ‘Charulatha’. The Telugu version of ‘Charulatha’ will be produced by Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts, Kannada version by Dwarakeesh and Global One Studios produces the Priyamani flick in Tamil. A press release stated, “Charulatha is inspired by 2007 Thai movie ‘Alone’, which had Thai-German pop singer Marsha Wattanapanich in lead role. Some changes have been made to the original script to suit the taste of south Indian audience.” The film is a woman-centric subject and has Priyamani play the role of Siamese twins, for the first time. Actors Seetha, Saranya Ponvannan and ‘Vettaikaran’ Sai Sasi form the supporting cast for ‘Charulatha’. Music is by Sundar C Babu. Heroine Priyamani says, “On my way to shoot Charulatha!! Very happy to announce that Charulatha will come out in Tamil as well. Not as a dubbed movie but as a direct Tamil movie. Looking forward” 🙂
