The movie KO tugged tightly to the silver screens for a long time crossing the 175 day mark with pride. Directed by K V Anand, it turned out to be 2011’s biggest hit for Jeeva, playing a photographer in the movie. We had earlier reported that the movie will be going for a Bollywood remake and now there are some fresh updates on the project.
The Hindi version of KO will be directed by popular director Prakash Jha who recently ran into trouble for his Deepika Padukone starrer Aarakshan. While the lead heroine for the Bollywood version of KO is yet to be finalized, actor Jeeva’s lead role has been bagged by Bollywood chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor who is looking for a image makeover after his Rockstar performance teaming up with composer AR Rahman. Actor Prakash Raj who played Yogi in the original version is being replaced by veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan for the remake. Fans who saw Prakash deliver a stunning performance with Singham up in Bollywood, are disappointed to find the actor out of KO’s Bollywood remake.
We will have to wait and see whether the remake turns out to be as successful as the original one.
