It is already known that Surya starrer Tamil film ‘Singam’ is dubbed in Telugu as ‘Yamudu’ and is all set for release on July 2nd. The film features Anushka playing the lady love of Surya and Prakash Raj in an important role. But now, the latest news is that Prakash has filed a complaint against the film producer Gnanavel Raja.
He miffed with the fact that his voice is not used in the film. Instead, a dubbing artiste’s voice has been used for Prakash Raj’s character. He filed complaint against producer Gnanavel Raja in Movie Artistes Association (MAA) that the producer failed to fulfill the agreement singed between them. According to his version, the producers had agreed in principle that they would use his voice for Yamudu but they didn’t.
Prakash Raj dubs his own voice in Telugu and Tamil for all his films, even if they are dubbed into language to another. So when he signed Singam, producers reportedly told him that his voice would be dubbed himself and pay the money accordingly. He is angry when he came to know that Yamudu is releasing on July end without his voice.
But the Movie Artistes Association said that they are helpless as it is the producer’s or director’s prerogative to use who ever voice they like for the particular film.
