Prabhudeva is gearing up, albeit in a rather relaxed manner, for the release of his upcoming directorial venture ‘Engeyum Kaadhal’. The film, which stars ‘Jeyam’ Ravi and Hansika Motwani in lead roles, is being released tomorrow by media baron Sun Pictures. The pre-release publicity, as always, has been nothing better than impeccable.
Speaking on the eve of the release of the film, Prabhudeva denied rumours in a section of the press that the script of the film was in any way related to his own life and added that it’s an usual love story with many interesting twists and turns which would make the audience sit up and keep glued to the screens till the end of the film. “Any person who has been in love at some point of time in his/her life can easily relate to the story,” he opined.
“Isn’t being in love an exciting universal feeling? I don’t think there can be any person, dead or alive, who hasn’t fallen in love at lease once in his/her life. It’s this feeling which is unique to the script and, as such, the story need not be that of any particular ‘X’ or ‘Y’. Obviously, the story can neither be termed as that of mine or anybody else’s.
“I’m sure youths would love the film in a big way. Ravi and Hansika are just appropriate as a love-struck pair. The producer had given me full freedom while the making of the film was underway and to my knowledge, I have made best use of the available opportunities and resources,” concludes Prabhudeva.
