The Prabhu Deva-Vishal venture Vedi has incurred a loss to the tune of Rs.5 lakhs as the Vedi team was denied permission to shoot at the Dakshineswar Kali Temple near Kolkata. Vedi is being produced by Vishal’s brother, Vikram Krishna under his home banner GK Films Corporation who suffered the unexpected loss. It is learnt that though the production house had submitted a letter with the temple authorities who agreed to the request but 2 days later they changed their mind saying that no specific details regarding the time of the shoots or the date had been mentioned. So they kept the team holding saying that they will have to check it with the higher authorities to confirm the permission of the shoots.
However it was already too late and the team decided that the order won’t come anytime soon resulting in the cancellation of the shoots. The Vedi team recently completed filming a song sequence with actress Sameera Reddy sizzling at the famous Howrah Bridge in Kolkata. Vishal starrer Vedi will see the ‘Avan Ivan’ hero brushing up his cop character yet again. Vedi happens to be his latest project being directed by Prabhu Deva. The last time the actor played a cop was almost 2 years back in the movie titled Sathyam which also starred Prabhu’s lady love Nayanthara.
Now there are some problems that even Vishal ‘the cop’ can’t solve, what say?
