Pooja returns to acting through a Sinhalese film

Pooja in Sinhalese film

Actress Pooja is all set to return to films albeit in a Sinhalese language film and not in a Tamil film. Pooja’s portrayal as a blind beggar in director Bala’s Naan Kadavul three years back is considered her best performance as on date. Strangely enough, she didn’t get as many offers as expected after the film’s release.

Some time back, reports said that Pooja had decided to quit films in order to take care of her parents who were looking for a suitable groom to get her married. Some reports also said that she had joined a leading Firm in Bangalore and had taken up a 9 to 5 job as the owner of the Film was the one who had been selected as her groom by her parents.

Pooja remained tight-lipped and didn’t respond to any of those rumours. The Sinhalese language movie Pooja has agreed to star in is said to be a film based on the childhood and adolescent life of Lord Buddha. Once the film releases and fetches her good name, she might start looking for offers in Tamil, it is reported.

Pooja has starred opposite the likes of Madhavan and Ajith and was last spotted in Tamil films in a small role in the film Drohi starring Srikanth and Vishnu in lead roles. Her fans would be hoping eagerly that she signs up Tamil movies sooner than later!
