Playback Singer Chitra to help out jobless musicians


Chitra very successfully completed another mammoth career mark with now three decades in the entertainment industry churning out unforgettable melodies never failing to impress with every new song.  Many know her by the name Chinnakuyil Chitra in the Tamil industry thanks to the song Chinnakuyil paadum for Nadiya in ‘Poovae Poochudava’.

The nightingale of South India has 6 national awards apart from the innumerable other awards by the State Governments .Yes, with more than 25,000 songs across wide spectrum of Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Oriya, Hindi, Assamese, Bangali, Baduga and Punjabi it comes as no surprise for such an immensely saturated and evolving talent who is a living legend of our times, who has voiced under  maestro Ilaiyaraaja to the new age star A.R. Rahm

This 15th of February at her native Kerala she will hosting an event to mark her achievement where she will also launch into spotlight a charitable trust ‘SNEHA’ in association with cable network ACV that will aim to cater to the needs of financially instable musicians who unfortunately have been jobless due to the technological advancements in the field of music that has made it quite easy eliminate a lot of manpower during the process.

Our heartiest wishes to Chitra ma’am, we appreciate her efforts for musicians and are glad that she is surely helping the young and old alike. Well no wonder the Almighty has blessed her with such a divine voice.
