The flick Vithagan proved out to be a box office dud for Parthiban, who is all set to come out with his big 2012 release in Ambuli. The movie has the actor in a cameo role, bearing considerable importance to the storyline. His other film in the making happens to be Aaapu(Wedge in English), which will be director and produced by Parthiban himself.

This new offering titled Aaapu will be a bilingual, released in Tamil and Telugu and also have two lead pairs. It will be scripted around the lives of youngsters working in the IT and BPO sector, showcased in a comical way through the director’s eyes. Moreover Parthiban too will be seen playing an all important role in this comic offering, to go on floors soon. He recently caught upon the first cut of his upcoming release Ambuli and says, “It’s a totally different experience. This will be first hand exposure for Tamil viewers. The director duo of Hari Shankar-Harish Narayanan has tightly captured the shots, making up for an engaging release.” The director duo that came out with the successful Orr Eravuu in 2010, have Ambuli as the first 3-D film in Tamil cinema in stereoscopic format.
