Actress Padmapriya had a reality check recently while shooting for her Mollywood flick “Bus Number 66 Madurai” in the Nellai region. She along with her co-star Pasupathy were forced to vacate the location and head back to homeland Kerala, with angry protestors creating a ruckus over the Mullai Periyar Dam problem, that has already created enough problems in Tamil Nadu and its neighboring state Kerala.
However the dirty episode doesn’t seem to dampen Padmapriya’s spirits as she makes a brave return in her new Kollywood signup Thangameengal. We are told that the actress was offered the lead role in the movie by director Ram, well before it went on floors. But keeping busy with her other projects the actress had to pull away from the project. Nevertheless Ram was courteous enough to offer her another key role in the movie when he came to know that the she was keeping free from other shooting commitments of late. Padmapriya lapped on to the opportunity and agreed to step in this time saying, “Yes I have agreed to work with Director Ram for a new role in Thangameengal. It’s too early to reveal the details.” Interestingly this new release will be under Gautham Menon’s banner Photon Kathaas and will have director Ram play the hero’s role too.
This one already looks like a twisty affair.
