Changing names has been a favorite game with Kollywood heroines. Many have had success befriending new names while for others keeping it original worked the best. Charming Nandagi, who acted in Aval peyar Thamizharasi too joins the name changing list.
Amala Paul, who is enjoying a good run in Kollywood presently had a curious case. She changed her name to Anakha for Sindhu Samaveli, that flopped at the box office. And then came Mynaa’s success as she reverted to her original name, earning her the sweet spot in Kollywood. Actress Nandagi too wants to grab success by it’s throat, going for a new name. She has completed her Thandavakone project and moved on to Oru Murai Parthen. As per numerologist’s advice, Nandagi will have the credits page reading Manumika for her upcoming movies. “I want to take up more urban roles rather than just the village belle ones. This year is really promising one for me,” says a confident Nandagi. She has also signed up for another flick titled Koothu for director Padma Magan. Now how many of you think Nandagi sounded much better than Manumika? Drop in your comments below 🙂
