Nanban Shooting Spot Unseen Stills

Nanban Shooting Spot Unseen Still

Director Shankar and his Nanban team are all set to seal things up soon. Lastly Andrea Jeremiah marked her entry into the Nanban crew.Pretty Andrea won’t be seen onscreen but will be making her presence through Ileana’s character, dubbing behind the scenes for the Nanban heroine. According to Director Shankar only 1.1112%  of the movie is left to shoot and the energy at the sets has been really inspiring, so much so, that the movie will be wrapped up in record time, by all Shankar standards.

Here is what the Director had to say on the Nanban progress. Read along as he gives you nice tidbits on Vijays surprise party, his birthday celebrations and the surprise call from Thalaivar Rajinikanth himself.

Hi everyone,
…….ha… we’ve successfully completed 98.8888% of the film, and the rest 1.1112% is one song and a quarter of another song, will be shot in the first week of September.

I feel ‘Nanban’ has shaped out very well in all aspect. The highlight of the film will be its characters and the excellent performances of the artists in it. Its going to be a treat watching Vijay, Jeeva, Sathyaraj, Srikanth, Sathyan, Ileana altogether… every scene is edited and dubbed till date. Vijay threw a wonderful party for the completion of the film and it was so nice that all the artists and technicians of the film gathered; it was a very very relaxing evening full of jolly talks, dance, fun, laughter etc.

Thanks to everyone who wished me on my birthday. My wife threw a surprise party, and it was another wonderful day. Vijay, Vikram, Jeeva, Sathyaraj, Srikanth, K.V.Anand, Lingusamy, Randy, A.M.Rathnam, Harris and Antony were there; surprisingly Superstar called me and wished, and made my day. I started working on the final edit of the film for the background score and I am rushing Harris to complete the songs for the audio release.

Anna Hazare’s dream is
every ‘INDIAN’s dream!
Hope this dream comes true!

C U Soon!

  1. no matter what people say, I still can’t get over how vijay’s playing rancho….it just doesn’t make sense to me…

  2. Even i thought saw….dunno why Vijay was chosen as Rancho.I don’t think Srikanth can pull off Farhan role either…Maddy was just awsome.Jeeva has similar looks of Raju rastogi so that’s fine.Sigh!Original is the best always…

  3. Yup,you are right in a way….But personally I feel that this film should be worth a remake because of its script values pointing to the current education system in India. Some section of Tamil audience who understood hndi would have already enjoyed this move in Hindi. But for those who couldnt understand Hindi, with the market and star value of Vijay in Tamilnadu (even though he is not a great actor and all), the reach of the movie would be much better with Tamil audiences which cant happen when a movie is dubbed. So lets wait n see !!!
