Nakul, who had a string of hits more than an year ago in ‘Kaadhalil Vizhundhaen’ and ‘Maasilamani’ and the moderately successful ‘Kandhakottai’, is working intently on his next film titled ‘Thalaippu Seithigal’. The title, surely, is a dead give-away: yes, Nakul would be playing a journalist in the film, a role he hasn’t essayed so far in his short career!
The actor, whose physique now is a far cry from the bulky and hefty figure he sported in Shankar’s ‘Boys’ almost a decade back, has a few films lined up his sleeve. He would soon be working with director Arivazhagan of ‘Eeram’ fame and in another film to be produced by producer Ascar Ravichandran, who is presently engaged in the Vijay-starrer ‘Velayudham’.
Nakul is thrilled at the prospect of playing a journalist in ‘Thalaippu Seithigal’, billed as a romantic comedy. On a serious note, the film would depict in graphic detail the travails and struggles a journalist has to encounter in discharging his work which includes pressures from his peers and politicians and many hardships.
John, son of veteran director Mahendran (of ‘Jaani’ and ‘Mullum Malarum’ fame), would be debuting as the director with ‘Thalaippu Seithigal’. John says that Sathyaraj and Yuhi Sethu might make the final cut as and when the shoot gets underway. James Vasanthan would be the music director of the film, scheduled to go to floors by the last week of this month.
Let’s wish Nakul happy tidings!
