Naga Chaitanya Varalakshmi

Director Radhamohan has named his next directorial venture as Gauravam. The director, who has given quality films like Azgagiya Theeyae, Mozhi and Payanam, would be making Gauravam as a bilingual movie and would be shooting both the Tamil and Telugu portions simultaneously.

As readers might recall, Gauravam is the title of a popular film which starred the late Sivaji Ganesan in the seventies. The most significant of Radhamohan’s Gauravam is that it would mark the debut in Tamil as hero of Tollywood’s Nag Chaitanya. The film’s Telugu version, which would also have the title Gauravam, would mark the debut in Telugu of Varalakshmi as heroine.

Varalakshmi ist he daughter of actor Sarath Kumar, who is also the president of Nadigar Sangam. She is presently starring in the Tamil film Poda Podi which has the mercurial Simbu opposite her. Even before her debut film in Tamil hits the screens Varalakshmi has got a bilingual film on her hands which would also take her to the world of Telugu films.

An expert in many forms of western dancing, Varalakshmi is said to be at her best in the Salsa dance form. She also runs a dance troupe by name Mamamia. She was recently in Hyderabad where she took part in the photo-shoot along with Chaitanya.

Let’s wish her good luck!
