Actor Jiiva plays the lead role in director Mysskin’s upcoming film Mugamoodi which has been progressing at a brisk pace. The film, said to by Mysskin’s dream project, has popular model Pooja Hegde debuting as heroine in Tamil films opposite Jiiva. Thanks to last year’s super-duper hit Ko, Jiiva has landed up a string of impressive projects by popular directors.
While Jiiva’s Nanban co-starring Vijay, Srikkanth and Ileana and directed by Shankar is hitting screens on 12th this month, he also has another much-awaited film Needhanae En Ponvasantham (NEP) directed by ace director Gautham Vasudev Menon in which he pairs up opposite the lovely-looking Samantha (of Baana Kathadi fame). With Mugamoodi also in his kitty, Jiiva might become the hottest actor of 2012!
Born in Mumba’s Bandra, beauty queen Pooja plays a journalist in Mugamoodi amid rumours that the entire script revolves around her character. She was also the runner-up at the ‘Miss India’ beauty pageant held in the year 2010. A trained bharatnatyam danseuse, Pooja has gone on record stating that she signed up the film as she liked the script and the significance given to her character in the film.
However, she might get ‘killed’ in the final version of the script, it is added. Narain, who was introduced by Mysskin as hero in Chithiram Pesudhadi some years back and also did play the lead role in the burly director’s Anjathay, plays the villain to Jiiva in this film. Narain’s plans to take revenge on Jiiva would centre around Pooja, who plays Jiiva’s love interest. The film would have a racy screenplay, an unmistakable feature in all films made by Mysskin as on date.
The rest of the film would be about how Jiiva manages to thwart Narain’s plans. Mugamoodi is not the mask that Jiiva might don in the film but the plot worked out by the villain, it is stated further.
