Mysskin, the renowed director of Kollywood has recently ended up irking the musical Maestro Ilaiyaraja. The director has just wrapped up the shooting of ‘Yuttham Sei’ starring director-turned-actor Cheran in the lead. The film, touted as an edge-of-the-seat thriller movie had six sings which had been scored by Ilaiyaraja.
After the final phase of shooting Mysskin however, felt that the songs were an interruption to the narration and decided to chop all of them off, except one and it is said that probably Mysskin could have retained the Ameer – Neetu Chandra item number.
This was noth the first time,Mysskin has done the same earlier with his ‘Nandalala’, he had chopped off all the four songs in the album which had been composed by Ilaiyaraja.
Mysskin’s act of chopping off the songs composed by Ilayaraja has been reportedly upset the musician, it is learnt.
Wouldn’t the easiest thing have been to cut the songs?, Mysskin answers, “In fact I hate shooting songs. I’m very uncomfortable. It stalls my narration. I told everyone to cut the songs but keep the story intact. The day I make a movie without songs, I’ll accept myself as a successful director.”
