‘Azhagi’ Monika is quite happy that her latest film ‘Muthukku Muthaga’ has not only been getting rave reviews from the print and television media but has also been doing good at the box-office. The actress hopes to sustain the momentum to go on to become one of the ‘bankable’ actresses in Kollywood.
Monika, who has played a village nurse in the film, has been getting quite a lot of appreciation for her performance from friends, relatives and from the press. As they say, good things come in packages. This has turned out to be true in Monika’s case. She is also extremely delighted that her role as a shepherd in ‘Nanjupuram’ has also been noticed and lauded.
“I’m quite happy to be getting the appreciation for my role in ‘Muthukku Muthuaga’ directed by Rasu Mathuravan Sir. Even when the shooting was taking place, the entire crew lauded my efforts. I’m thankful to Mathuravan Sir for having given me a role which gave me ample scope to display my acting credentials.
“I’m quite lucky in the sense that in a span of two weeks, two of my films (including ‘Nanjupuram’) have released. The fact that both the films are doing reasonably well at the box-office has given me a lot of confidence and hope to do well in future too. I hope to carry on the momentum and make it big in Tamil films in future,” says Monika.
Let’s wish her good luck ..
