Comedian Mayilsamy has been around for a long time, playing sundry roles and supporting roles to other comedians. He has even played character roles in quite a few films and has also dabbled in hosting comedy reality shows for Television. The burly comedian has so far acted in more than 300 films. His son Anbu would soon be debuting in Tamil films as hero.
Anbu was named ‘Arumai Nayagam’ by Kamal Haasan. When Mayilsamy visited veteran director and Kamal’s mentor K. Balachander along with his son to seek his blessing for his son’s bright future in Kollywood, KB re-christened his son as ‘Anbu’. Remember it was KB who changed our own superstar’s name from Shivajirao Gaekwad to Rajinikanth?
Anbu is debuting with the film ‘Paarthom Pazhaginom’ directed by Rasu Mathuravan, who has made films like ‘Mayandi Kudumbathar’ and ‘Muthukku Muthaga’. Mathurvan has the knack of deftly displaying human emotions on screen. Moving slightly away from his family-oriented films, Mathuravan is all set to make a romantic film with ‘Paarthom…’, it is reported.
The film goes to the floors on the 5th of July and is likely to be shot on the border areas between Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The crew informs us that the name of the heroine, who has been finalized, would only be revealed once the camera starts rolling!
