Nithin Satya, who has impressed in a few character roles before going into hibernation, is back with a strong role in Mayanginen Thayanginen. The movie is the first production venture by Rajeshwari Vendhan under the banner of Thaaimann Thiraiyagam. Directed by ST Vendan, the director of the Shaam starrer Inba, the film reveals the dark sides of homes for mentally disordered women in and around the City.
Nithin Sathya and Disha Pandey (of Thamizh Padam fame) play the lead roles and Tharun Sathriya shares screen space with Nithin as second hero. Teja Sri, new comer Bala, Ganja Karuppu, Ajay Rathnam, TP Gajendhran and others are in the cast. Sanjana Singh is doing a colourful kuthu number that choreographed by Bobby for the film. Kannan of Thamizh Padam is composing music and Rameshwaran handle camera.
Speaking on the film, director ST Vendhan says: “This is an action-romance-comedy with a strong social message against the sexual abuse of mentally ill women staying in homes. I personally experienced such a case recently. In that incident I rescued two women with the help of my friends from a home. I am not criticizing all the homes. I criticize only those that are running these kinds of homes to earn money and abuse women. This incident forced me to do a movie against these kinds of social atrocities. We shot the climax differently. The movie will be hit the screens soon. ”
