Maranthein Manippen’s last schedule is a challenging one. The bilingual titled Gundello Godari in Telugu features Aadhi and Taapsee Pannu in lead role. Final portion of shoots are underway in Charminar, Hyderabad.
The film is based on the 1980s floods produced by Lakshmi Manchu and directed by Kumar Nagendra. The last schedule is completely underwater using special equipment. Cinematographer Palani has been handled the task of getting a perfect picture. “This particular segment will form most of the climax and some of the fillers too. It’s been tough because staying in the water for a long time is a task in itself”says Aadhi. The shoots are taking place in a large glass tank that has been specially built for the underwater sequence. Actors are shown battling for life drowned in the flood. Once the shorts are canned there will be a lot of CG work done to add zing to the proceedings. One of the highlights will be Ilayaraja’s music for the movie which he composed on a trip to Munnar with the producers. Commencing the shoots in Rajahmundry and now in its final schedule, the film will enter post production soon.
