Popular villain actor Mansoor Ali Khan was arrested by the city police in a case related to grabbing of land worth Re.1 crore belonging to a Chennai resident. The police acted on a complaint filed by Duraivelan hailing from Chennai’s K.K. Nagar.
In his complaint filed with the Commissioner of Police, Chennai, Duraivalen has stated that he owned some lands at the Puliyur locality in Chennai’s Arumbakkan. He has added that actor Mansoor Ali Khan has ‘grabbed his lands’ illegally from him by preparing fake documents vis-à-vis the lands owned by him.
Duraivelen’s petition further requested the authorities to take appropriate action to retrieve the land back to him from the illegal custody of Mansoor. The Central Crime Branch of the city police swung into action and conducted enquiries in the cast and decided to arrest Mansoor for further investigation after the preliminary investigation into the case was concluded by a team headed by DCP Radhika.
A police team rushed to the actor’s house at Nugambakkam and took him into custody. Mansoor has been lodged at the office of the city police commissioner where the police are said to be probing his ‘links’ in the land-grab case filed against him by Duraivelan.
