Manorama is fine, to be discharged soon

Manorama is fine

Finally, there is some good news for the ardent fans of Aachi Manorama. The Guinness World Record holder was admitted to a leading private hospital in Chennai after she complained of pain in the head following a fall in the bathroom and injuring her head.

The veteran actress, who started off as a comedienne but graduated to doing all kinds of character roles in Tamil films, had been to Kerala recently to take treatment for the pain in the knee-joints. That treatment apparently didn’t fetch the desired result and Manorama was operated upon at a Chennai hospital in order to rid herself of the pain. After the surgery, she was advised rest.

Even as she was resting, Manorama slipped and fell in the bathroom at her residence and was rushed to the hospital. Some unconfirmed reports said that due to the injury, she had gone into a ‘coma’ stage and it was not known as to when she would come out of it. Thankfully, it’s not the case, her son and actor Boopathi revealed yesterday.

The scan revealed a blood-clot inside the head and also some ‘leakage’ of blood. The team of doctors attending to her has decided to perform a surgery today to cure the same. Manorama is in good spirits, Boopathy said. ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan, who had been working with Manorama for the past three decades, visited the ailing actress and wished her a speedy recovery. Actress Anushka Shetty too visited the hospital to enquire the progress in the health of Manorama.

Many leading luminaries from Kollywood continue to visit the actress to wish her a speedy recovery. In the mean time, Boopathy said that the doctors have assured that Manorama might be discharged in 2-3 days after today’s surgery.

Let’s pray for the speedy recovery of the record-breaking actress!
