His receding hairline notwithstanding, the passion for film-making in Venkat Prabhu’s heart is only growing by the day. The talented son of lyricist-music composer-singer-producer-director Gangai Amaren usually stays away from the press about his film while the film is in the making. Making an exception this time, Prabhu has penned his views on his upcoming film ‘Mankatha’.
‘Mankatha’ is actor Ajith’s landmark 50th film and stars Trisha, Arjun, Andrea Jermiah, Lakshmi Rai and Anjali besides Bollywood’s Kainaat Arora in lead roles. Ajith’s fans have been waiting patiently and eagerly for their star’s film to hit the screens. Venkat’s comments on FaceBook and Twitter about the film have only added to the excitement of the fans.
“The film is an action-packed thriller. There would be some comedy sequences but basically the film can only be categorized as a ‘serious thriller’. Ajith would be seen in a very different ‘get-up’ in this film. There won’t be a dull moment as the film would be a fast-paced one. The landmark film of Ajith is also likely to be one of his best (if not the best) films in his career,” Venkat has penned thus in Twitter.
The film, which was first predicted to be releasing on Ajith’s birthday (1st May), was later postponed to be released on Independence Day (15th August). Now it is said that the release date would either be 12th or 19th August. Had it been made known, it would have kept Ajith’s fans in good spirits!
