The audio launch of ‘VA Quarter Cutting’ was held recently on Sep 1, 2010, at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai. While talking about ‘VA Quarter Cutting’, Lekha said, “After my critically acclaimed performance in ‘Jayam kondaan’, I got several similar offers to do a sister role, which I denied to accept.”
About her role in ‘VA Quarter Cutting’:
“The complete film ‘VA Quarter Cutting’ revolves around series of events over a night. I play a 19-year-old girl with suicidal tendencies. I accepted this role because it is a challenging role, a chance to really act. And no, I dont relate much to the character because Im not 19 and I dont have suicidal tendencies! The script was refreshingly different and, this was something I had to do as it was directed by Pushkar and Gayatri. They’re my closest pals.”, she said.
About her co-star Shiva:
“Shiva is a very humouros person, his face won’t change even if he’s cracking a joke or pulling my leg … it remains the same throughout the prank. That way, you’ll know the actual implications of what he’d said only after a while!”, she laughs.
“I currently busy with ‘Peter Gaaya Kaam Se’ in Hindi and ‘Thunta Thunti’ in Kannada. My role in ‘Thunta Thunti’ is commercial. It’ll show audiences that I can look pretty. I’ll be doing a film with Amitabh Bachchan soon and I’m looking forward to it”, the actress said.
