Deepavali happens to be one of those festivals which are celebrated by people all over the country cutting across the religious and linguistic barriers. People, irrespective of their ages, take great pleasure in bursting crackers on that day.
On this occasion, K-town celebrities have ‘revealed’ the way they plan to celebrate the ensuing Deepavali, also known as the ‘Festival of Lights, this year:
Milky beauty Tamannah says: “Deepavali is the most important festival in our household; the entire house would dazzle in lights. Besides eating mouth-watering dishes, sweets and other things, I take great pleasure in donning a grand salvar-khameez designed especially for the occasion by my designer. If I happen to be in Mumbai during Deepavli, I never fail to visit the Mahalaxmi Temple to offer special prayers!”
Curvaceous Shriya Saran says that her house would be decorated tastefully on the eve of Deepavali. “We usually celebrate the festival in a traditional way by worshipping the Gods and offering poojas. Obviously, I’d put on a dress specially made for me by my costume-designer. I love occasions like Deepavali which gives me a wonderful opportunity to be with my family members,” says Shriya.
Bubbly Hansika, toast of Kollywood in recent times, says “Deepavali happens to be one of my favorite festivals which I’d like to celebrate in the presence of all my family members. Mercifully, there shouldn’t be any shooting schedule fixed for me on Deepavali day. I love to go for shopping and purchase all the latest designer and trendy outfits,” says Hansika, whose Velayudham opposite Vijay is all set to release on Deepavali.
Trisha says that if she happens to be in Chennai during Deepavli, she’d celebrate the occasion with her family. “In case I happened to be in Hyderabad or Mumbai during Deepavali, I’d go on a shopping spree and pick up lots of dresses to suit my taste,” says Trisha who is presently starring in Samaran opposite Vishal.
