Kanimozhi movie on the making


T. Siva of Amma Creations (producer of Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Saroja’ and upcoming film ‘Poochandi’) and Actress Sona has signed a co- pact to  produce the movie Kanimozhi


It’s been evident from the past times that Sona has been sharing a great rapport with Venkat Prabhu and his co.Tuning out spellbinding melodies in yet to release ‘Leelai’, Satish Chakravarthy will score music for this film and most of the technicians are newcomers…

The first thing producer T Siva of Amma Creations and debutant director Sripathi Rangasami, a former associate of Venkat Prabhu, did after they decided to name their film ‘Kanimozhi’?

They called on Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi’s daughter Kanimozhi and narrated the storyline. Only after the Rajya Sabha member said she did not have any objection with the film’s title, an official announcement was made in the media.

“She was very impressed by the script and expressed happiness that such films are a rarity in Tamil cinema. The movie has no politics in it, but a beautiful story with Jai and Bollywood actress Shazahn Padamsee in lead roles,” says Sripathi.

On roping in Jai, he says, “I know him for a longtime and we are very good friends. If at all Jai had made any mistakes in committing films, Kanimozhi will set things right. He is a talented actor and his skills will be utilised in a proper way.”

Actress Sona’s new face as a producer seems to be going strong and steady. With her maiden production ‘Odu Machi Odu’ shelving down at halfway, her other projects have been rolling fast on the floors.

Recently, the actress launched the film titled ‘Bhagyaraj 2010’ starring Premji Amaran in lead role.
