Actress Kajal Aggarwal has started going places in Kollywood for sure. The actress, who debuted in ace director Bharathiraaja’s Bommalattam a few years back, went on to star in films like Pazhani and Modhi Vilaiyaadu. It was her super-duper Telugu hit Magadheera in 2009 which opened doors for her again in Kollywood.
Kajal staged a ‘successful comeback’ by pairing up opposite Karthi in the hit film Naan Mahaan Alla. She now has a couple of plum projects in Tamil opposite two of the top stars in Kollywood. She is Suriya’s heroine in his upcoming film Maatraan directed by K.V. Anand and she has also been cast as Vijay’s heroine in his upcoming film Thuppakki directed by A.R. Murugadoss.
She says happily that she and Vijay share same characteristics and is too excited to be pairing opposite him. “I have always admired Murugadoss as a film-maker and Vijay. To be getting to work both of them in the same film is nothing but a great thing. Though the film is a commercial venture, my character has been made the same way I behave in real life. I won’t be appearing like a glam-doll,” says Kajal.
Kajal appears to have put behind her the controversy which erupted when she reportedly posed ‘topless’ for the men’s fashion magazine FHM and then went on to say that the pictures of her were ‘morphed’ ones.
Meanwhile, the shooting schedule of Thuppakki has been proceeding briskly at Mumbai.
