Kadhal Solla Vandhen Traps Censor Board official Rajasekharan, and arrested by CBI


It is shocking news that a Censor Board official has been arrested for seeking bribe to certify the film. Reportedly D Rajasekharan, a 1998 Indian Forest Service official was caught in his office on the fifth floor of Shastri Bhavan, two floors above the CBI office for allegedly demanding the bribe of Rs. 1 lakh from the producer of Kadhal Solla Vandhen to certify the film.

 Rajasekharan,demanded a bribe to give the censor certificate certificate, a must for releasing the movie even after paying the mandatory fee of Rs. 25,000.

After the producer Jayakumar filed a complaint, the CBI immediately sprung into action. The CBI’s anti-corruption wing on Tuesday trapped and caught the regional officer while accepting a bribe of Rs. 10,000 from a film producer as advance for bribe amount.

Kadhal Solla Vandhen is an upcoming film which features debutant Balaji who is the son of minister Paruthi Ilamvazhuthi, in the lead role.

It is worth mentioning here that Rajashekar had assumed duty on June 17th and this is the first time a Censor Board official has been arrested for accepting bribe.
