‘Kaadhal‘, the super-hit film of the year 2004, starring Bharath and Sandhya in the lead, will now speak in Hindi. The movie has found a fan in Bollywood director Vikramaditya Motwane.
Bharath’s first break came through Balaji Sahakthivel’s Kaadhal, which showcased him as a young lover boy unable to tolerate the feeling of failure when circumstances force him to give up his lover. Sandhya made her debut in Tamil Cinema with this film.
The movie was dubbed into Telugu as Premisthe. It was also remade in Bengali as Chirodini Tumi Je Amar in 2008 and Kannada as Cheluvina Chittara.
Vikramaditya Motwane who made a impressive debut in Bollywood with Udaan in 2010, is all set to direct this film in Hindi.The film will be jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures and film maker Padam Kumar’s wife Meenu.
Though the casting are yet to be finalized reports suggest that Dhobhi Ghat and Dum Maro Dum hero Prateik Babbar is likely to play the lead.
