Slim and svelte Ileana, the reigning queen of Tollywood, who is making a comeback of sorts in the Vijay-Jiiva-Srikkanth starrer ‘Nanban’ is in deep trouble.
Producer Mohan Natarajan, whose ‘Vikramananin Deivathirumagal’ is gearing up for release, has complained against Ileana with the South Indian Chamber of Commerce saying that the actress was paid an advance of Rs.35 lakhs to star in the film. Notwithstanding the payment, Ileana has gone ahead and given dates to star in ‘Nanban’ and not in his film, Natarajan has alleged. He has demanded that a ‘professional ban’ be imposed on her by the Tamil and Telugu film industries.
Natarajan has alleged Ileana of breaching the contract and not starring in his film. “This has caused huge financial loss to me; to top it all, she is not even taking my calls. In such a scenario, I have no other option but to lodge the complaint and demand action in the form of ban against her by the Tamil and Telugu film industries,” Natarajan has said in his complaint.
Reports say that Ileana has also commented ‘negatively’ about her own Telugu film ‘Shakti’, which released recently and bombed at the box-office. This has made the film’s producer complain against her with the Telugu Film Producers’ Council.
In case Ileana faces a ban from starring in Tamil films, her film ‘Nanban’ opposite Vijay might run into jeopardy.
