Director Gautham Menon’s much awaited release Neethane En Ponvasantham, has popped up some fresh updates. Neethane En Ponvasantham,a trilingual, has Samantha and Jiiva playing the lead duo with some lovely music by Isaignani Ilayaraja. The composer who was in London recording the songs has completed the sessions well within time.
“Isaignani Ilayaraja composed all the Eight Tracks with his Harmonium and made Na Muthukumar write the lyrics. Then he made the singers sing the songs and took the tracks to London,” says the Director. As soon as Gautham gave a briefing about the song situation, Raja was a man on a mission coming up with multiple tunes to choose from. Working with the veteran for the first time, he was awestruck seeing the composer highly accelerated style of working. He added, “In a matter of 16 days, he completed recording all the 8 songs along with the Hungarian Symphony group in an ultra modern studio. The songs have come out beautifully and assured that the album would be a chartbuster.” For the NEP album, Ilayaraja also had a choir of children performing along with the Hungarian National Philharmonic – a prestigious symphony orchestra of Budapest. That’a a lot in store for Raja fans.
