Actor Jiiva has said that he is aware of his fan base comprising mostly of middle-class community which flock to theatres with their entire families to watch his films. “I will never disappoint them by starring in lip-lock sequence with any of my heroines,” Jiiva has said on the eve of release of his upcoming film titled ‘Rowthiram’ opposite the scintillating Shriya Saran.
Jiiva is on a roll this year with successive hits in ‘Singampuli’ and the mega-hit ‘Ko’. The latter has gone past 100 days and is still going strong in many halls across the State, the actor informs excitedly. After ‘Rowthiram’, Jiiva has the mega-budget ‘Nanban‘ directed by Shankar and Mysskin’s ‘Mugamoodi‘ which pairs him opposite beauty queen Pooja Hegde, who finished as second runner up at ‘Miss India’ pageant.
“I play a superman in Mysskin’s Mugamoodi. I would be leaving abroad next month to adjust my hair style and my body structure to suit the needs of the super-hero I play in ‘Mugamoodi’. I and my brother Ramesh would soon be floating our own production house titled ‘Spiral Dreams’. As far as possible, I’d look to do different kind of roles and won’t mind experimenting in off-beat roles too. I have done that in the past on more than one occaasion.
“My fan base consists mostly of middle-class persons who come with their families to watch my films. I won’t embarrass them by smooching on-screen,” says Jiiva, who has played some amazing characters in films like Ameer’s ‘Ram’ and in ‘Dishyum’.
