Actress Ananya has been soaking in all the accolades and appreciation that she has been getting for her portrayal of an educated, naïve girl in her latest film Engeyum Eppodhum. The film, directed by debutant director Saravanan and the maiden production venture of director A.R. Muirugadoss, has turned out to be a hit film catching the imagination of viewers cutting across all the centres.
The gist of the film Engeum Eppodhum stars Jai, Anjali, Sarvanand and Ananya in lead roles is about the ill-effects of reckless driving and the terrible and irrevocable after-effects it has on those concerned and their hapless relatives and friends. The quartet of Ananya, Anjali, Sarva and Jai have equal roles in the film and had put in awesome performance in the film, which is running to packed houses all over the State.
Ananya, who debuted as heroine in Sasikumar’s Nadodigal a couple of years ago, starred in the Dhanush-starrer Seedan a few months back and has come back strongly with Engeyum Epoodhum. That she dubs confidently in her own voice for her roles in films makes her a strong candidate, like Anjali, to be cast by directors and producers in films with solid scripts.
“I’m happy that Engeyum Eppodhum has given me a good comeback opportunity. An actress’ image lies in the hands of the director and he can make or mar an actress’ career by his script. I aspire to become a leading actress like an Asin or a Nayantara. Only when I get to star in challenging scripts made by noted directors, I shall get noticed soon and become a top actress. Days are not far when I succeed in doing so,” says Ananya.
