Success does many things to many people. While it sweeps some off their feet and make them arrogant, it gives the confidence and courage to others to speak up their mind on matters of their interest, now that they have achieved the much-elusive ‘success’.
Anaka alias Amala Paul (she loves to be called only as Amala, the name her parents gave her) is one such girl. The girl, who had a terrible film to her credit before silencing all her critics with her acting prowess in Prabhu Solomon’s much-appreciated ‘Mynaa’ released last year, is going places in Kollywood.
She has her hands full with offers against some of the lead actors. She has Vijay-directed ‘Deiva Magan’ opposite Vikram in her kitty besides producer-director Lingusamy’s ‘Vettai’ opposite Aarya. In a recent interview, she has spoken out frankly and said that she loves to ‘party hard like an animal” till late into the night and also loved taking part in candle-lit dinners.
The Hindu Makkal Katachi, the self-styled ‘patron of Hindi culture’ in the State, has come down hard on the actress and has condemned her for ‘openly speaking up in favour of partying’, which is detrimental to the culture with which women should be brought up.
The HMK has said that Amala’s views that she loves partying ‘on any given day’, has hurt the sentiments of innocent women across the State who love to lead a decent life and has warned her against making any such ‘reckless comments’ in future.
