The Tamil super-hit ‘Singam’ starring Suriya is all set to sizzle in Hindi too. Bollywood’s leading hero Ajay Devgn, who started his career in the early nineties as an action hero and gradually shifted gears to take on all kinds of role, would be reprising Suriya’s role in the Hindi film ‘Singham’ which is slated to release across the country on 22nd July.
This film has been directed by Rohit Shetty and stars southern siren Kaajal Aggarwal opposite Ajay in the lead. Anushka, who paired up opposite in the original Tamil version, wasn’t considered by the Hindi film-makers for some reason. The producers are quite confident that the Hindi version would also be liked by Tamil audience and would be patronize in a big way.
Yunus Sejawal has penned the screenplay while the duo of Sajid-Farhad has written the dialogues. National Award winning music directors duo of Ajay-Atul, famous in Marathi films, has scored the music. The film should be a comeback of sorts for Ajay Devgn, who plays a full-fledged action hero after a long hiatus.
Producer-distributor Hayat’s success story has a long list of successful films at the box-office in ‘Dabangg’, ‘I Hate Love Storys’, ‘Khatta Meetha’, ‘Aakrosh’, ‘Crook’, ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’, ‘Help‘, ‘Hello Darling’, ‘Resident Evil After Life’ and ‘Break Ke Baad’. As such, he hopes that ‘Singham’ would also hit the Bull’s eye at the box-office.
