Music director Harris Jayaraj is all set to conduct his first-ever ‘live’ music concert in Coimbatore on 16th October. Along with Yuvan Shankar Raja, Harris is considered to be a top music director in Tamil films. Both Yuvan and Harris have been churning out hit numbers at regular intervals in their successive films for the past many years.
Though Yuvan sings a lot and has often held his concerts, Harris hasn’t done so and is arranging a mega-event in Coimbatore on 16th October. Speaking to newsmen about the event, Harris said “I debuted in films through Minnalae in the year 2001. It’s been a decade since then and it’s really surprising that I haven’t organized a live-in concert so far which would have provided me an opportunity to interact with my fans.
“I feel I had been too busy to do so… the time now has come for the said concert. The musical nite would be held at the Hindustan Arts college in Coimbatore. As many as 18 leading male and female playback singers including Karthick, Naresh Iyer, Shweta Menon, Harish Raghavendra, Krrish, Chimayee and Srilekha Parthasarathy would be taking part in the event to sing ‘live’ songs for the fans.
“Culturla programme comprising Chinese and North Indian artistes would also be held prior to the commencement of the musical nite. Director Vijay would be taking care of the setting up of the stage and the interior decoration work,” said Harris. The tickets have been priced at Rs.500, Rs.1000, Rs.2000 and Rs.5000.
