Kannada actress Haripriya debuted as heroine in Tamil films last year with Kanagavel Kakka opposite Karan. As it turned out, the film didn’t do as well as expected. The lanky Haripriya didn’t give up and had another release in Vallakkottai opposite ‘action king’ Arjun which could be termed as a ‘moderate’ success.
Pretty Haripriya has starred in more than 15 films in all the four South Indian languages. Though she’s very busy with her Kannada and Telugu film assignments which would easily keep her busy for the next two years, she is yearning to make it big in Tamil films.
She is paired opposite Cheran in the latter’s upcoming film Muran which hits the screens this Friday. Co-starring Prasanna, the film is co-produced by Cheran and is said to possess the ‘necessary ingredients’ which go into making a hit film. Haripriya hopes this film would give her the much-needed ‘break’ in Tamil films.
She also has the film Thulli Ezhundhadu Kaadhal gearing up for an early release. The film is the Tamil dubbed version of the Telugu hit film Thakita Thakita which is produced by actress Bhumika Chawla and directed by Srihari. Haripriya plays a care-free college girl in the film opposite Harshvardhan Rane. The film also has stars such as Nagarjuna, Anushka and Bhumika herself in small but significant roles.
