Hansika has signed up another potential release. Recently she was in news for slipping out on the Vettai Telugu remake, that was taken up another milky beauty in Tamanaah Bhatia.Hansika later cleared that she had jam-packed schedules and couldn’t sign up for the project.
Now she signed up for Tollywood film Ishq’s remake in Tamil. “I watched the original version to get an idea about the script. I found my role very interesting and since it was a proven hit, I didn’t have any qualms in signing the film”, says Hansika. The original version was directed by Vikram Kumar and ran more than hundred days in Andhra. For the Tamil version, direction will change hands with A. Rajasekhar taking up the hot seat.The film is produced by yesteryear actress and politician Jayapradha and will be the launchpad for Jayaprada’s sister’s son Siddharth, into Kollywood. Siddharth will pair up with Hansika in lead roles replacing the hit duo of Nitin and Nithya Menon from the original.It’s original script follows the sequence of events when the lead pair bump into each other during a flight to Hyderabad. Hansika who will start shoots in the first week of October is loaded in Tamil and Telugu with 6 projects at hand including Surya’s Singham 2.
