Composer GV Prakash has had a great innings in Kollywood, and soon he takes things onto the global arena. Busy with his filmy commitments, GV had to postpone his wedding to childhood sweetheart Saindhavi, January next year. All the hard work he put in is finally paying off, bearing rich fruit for the Aadukulam hit maker.
Now we hear Director Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur(GOW),having GV compose the music enters the international arena, nominated in the non-competitive category. Music composition comes naturally to the young Kollywood composer, who is the son of AR Rahman’s elder sister A.R. Raihana. The honor is an exclusive one, as GOW makes it among the deserving 20 releases, to be screened at the international Cannes film festival. The composer has his Kollywood career going smooth, as he joins director Vetrimaaran for an upcoming film starring Dhanush in lead. It was the same trio that got Aadukulam sweeping the National awards in all glory. Talking about GOW, a Viacom18 production, the composer said, “Gangs of Wasseypur selected for Cannes film festival …. Proud moment 🙂 !!!” Congratulations!
