Guinness Record ‘Sivappu Mazhai’ across globe on April 9, 2010


Guinness records are being set in all fields. Recently tamil movie Sivappu Mazhai entered the Guinness Book of World Records for being completed in less than 12 days. 12 days include the shooting and post-production also. Shivappu Mazhai is a two-hour Tamil film by V. Krishnamoorthy. The film was completed in a record 11 days, 23 hours and 45 minutes. Shivappu Mazhai stars newcomer Suresh Joachim and Meera Jasmine in the lead roles.

The earlier record was set by filmmakers Russ Malkin and John Gore for their film The Fastest Forward, made in 13 days in 1990. Shivappu Mazhai commenced on May 22 and was successfully completed by June 3, 2009, with more than 600 technicians working on the project. Director Krishnamoorthy revealed that this film, based on problems of Sri Lankan Tamils, is produced by Andrew Raymond and Suresh Joachim under Suresh Joachim Entertainment Inc. and Joachim International Inc. The film will be released across the globe with subtitles in English on April 9, 2010.
